FRENDS Helium, a web-based tool for monitoring BizTalk server installations, was launched in August. The software, which can be installed on BizTalk 2006, 2006 R2 and 2009 environments, identifies all errors that may occur in BizTalk Server installations. Helium provides message throughput statistics on both the server and the application level, and includes server performance counters that facilitate the monitoring process of one's integration platform. This web-based solution can also be accessed through any browser on any individual computer. Helium provides its user with information on application statuses, suspended instances, processed messages and orchestration details.

"The software was designed to meet a concrete customer need; as a "plug and play"-solution Helium saves valuable time when figuring out what's going on in your BizTalk installation", summarizes Frends' CTO Sami Tähtinen. "Future versions of the software will most likely provide a more detailed overview of the integration solution and include different kinds of alarm features, for example", Tähtinen adds.
