HL7 and Frends
HL7 is a message format used in many health-related systems and applications. Typically these messages are passed over MLLP,HLLP, HTTP(S), queues or file based protocols to and from the applications utilizing them. Frends has built in support for all the transport protocols.
Frends Supported HL7 Formats
HL7 2.x format is a flatfile format, where Frends has a native parser showcased in action in the demo below. HL7 3.x is XML and FRENDS can natively parse it as XML as it would any other normal XML format.

To run the demo, simply select Run once from the “HL7 Demo - Parse ORUMessage” –process and view the parsed and inserted message from the Demo UI above.
