Gartner: Frends recognized again in Magic Quadrant™ for iPaaS for execution and vision

Written by Frends iPaaS | Mar 18, 2026 3:14:03 PM

Frends has been recognized for the 4th year in a row in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). This marks another year of inclusion in one of the most widely referenced reports for enterprise integration platforms.

In the 2026 report, Frends is positioned as a Niche Player, which we feel reflects  its continued focus on delivering a unified, low-code integration platform tailored to specific industries and regional requirements, especially in Europe.

“We believe this recognition reflects the growing demand for integration platforms built with European requirements in mind. Organizations today need control over their data, deployment and architecture, and that’s exactly where Frends is focused,” says Jukka Rautio, CEO at Frends.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant™ evaluates vendors based on their Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision, offering a broad view of the iPaaS market and how providers are positioned relative to one another.

Frends continued focus on industries with high regulatory and operational complexity was mentioned as its ability to provide tailored accelerators and frameworks. This industry alignment resonates with buyers facing sector-specific constraints and requirements.

“The integration market is maturing quickly and having to adapt to constant geopolitical changes. With that comes higher expectations around security, transparency and long-term platform strategy. We believe this recognition reflects Frends’ ability to meet those expectations in complex, regulated environments while securing European customers' digital sovereignty,” said Robert Pijselman, Chairman of Frends’ Supervisory Board.

Market context: Integration, AI and data sovereignty

According to our leadership, the 2026 Magic Quadrant™ highlights several broader trends shaping the iPaaS market, including:

  • Increasing importance of data sovereignty and regional deployment options
  • Growing demand for AI-ready integration platforms
  • The need to support multiple integration personas, from developers to business users

Frends’ architecture — built on Azure with support for sovereign cloud, on-premise and hybrid models — addresses these evolving requirements, particularly for European organizations navigating regulatory and compliance considerations.

“Integration is becoming the foundation for AI-driven enterprises. Our focus is on giving customers a platform they can rely on, with hybrid deployment on cloud, on-prem or both, combining automation, APIs and AI orchestration in a way that is both practical and enterprise-ready,” explains CEO Jukka Rautio.
