What's happening at the State of Integration & AI 2026 — and why you should be there

Written by Fernanda Schimidt | May 5, 2026 8:45:30 AM

A lot has been said about what AI will do for European enterprises. Today, most of that conversation is still built on ambition, not evidence.  On May 7, that changes.

The State of Integration & AI 2026 is the first independent European benchmark study on integration maturity, automation readiness and AI adoption, surveying 600+ IT and business decision-makers across six countries. The findings go public at a live global broadcast, and for the first time, the data will speak for itself.

Here is what to expect.

A live broadcast built around data and real-world insight

This is not a product presentation. It is a one-hour structured conversation between researchers, executives, journalists and practitioners with the report findings as the anchor throughout.

You will listen to a keynote from Prof. Dr. Moritz Behm, bringing a global research perspective on enterprise AI: what separates organizations that are seeing real returns from those still waiting for a breakthrough that never quite arrives.

Then, the deep dive begins. With a talk-show format, the broadcast was designed to keep the focus on the most relevant topics for European organizations. The host Sabinije von Gaffke will welcome some of the most innovative leaders across countries and industries.

How much is manual work costing European companies? What is the pilot-production AI gap? What are the main barriers to achieving P&L impact? These are just some of the numbers that will be revealed in the report.

→ Watch the broadcast live on May 7, 11 am CEST.

Hear from Europe's leading voices in automation

The conversation expands with perspectives on AI governance, real-world experiences and what organizations need to build toward.

Discover all about the State of Integration & AI broadcast speakers below:

  • Anna Kopp, CIO of Microsoft Germany, brings a practitioner's lens to the European competitiveness picture. The full panel digs into

  • Mimi Billing, Europe Editor at Sifted, gives an independent read on the report's most significant findings.

  • Jukka Rautio, CEO at Frends, walks through what it means for executives and business leaders making infrastructure decisions right now.

  • Armin Catovic, Director of Data and AI at Funnel and Vice Chair of Stockholm AI, shares what an automation-first mindset actually looks like.

  • Pontus Gustafsson, Data-Driven Innovation Manager at Österåker Municipality, talks about what the report's insights look like from inside organizations that are finding solutions to these challenges.
  • Asmo Urpilainen, CTO at Frends, explains what the next phase of enterprise AI infrastructure looks like in practice.

What you will take away

The report covers nine sectors across six European countries. The findings are specific, quantified and — in more than a few cases — surprising.

You will leave with a clear picture of where European enterprises actually stand on AI adoption, integration maturity and automation readiness. Not where the conversation says they should be. Where 600+ decision-makers say they are.

If you are responsible for integration, automation or AI at your organization, this report is directly relevant to decisions you are making this year.
