Boliden has a need for a new supplier of an integration platform, and it is now clear that Frends by HiQ wins the tender.
"Connectivity, meaning that both integration and automation are connected, is crucial for large, world-leading companies such as Boliden to be able to focus on sustainability and innovation. The fact they chose us speaks for itself. Frends' iPaaS solution does very well in the global competition," says Jukka Rautio, Head of Frends.
Boliden is a high-tech metal company with its own mines and smelters with over 6,000 employees in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Ireland. The company, founded in 1924, is a world leader in electronics recycling. HiQ's Frends now wins the tender and becomes Boliden's new supplier of the integration platform.
Frends is not only an integration platform (iPaaS) but also an Integration as a Service (IaaS). Frends has a unique service where you also enter as a strategic partner and handle the integrations. Therefore, the change of platform is quick and easy, but it is, above all, cost-effective. Frends is responsible for technology, operations, and management and also has access to cutting-edge knowledge in many areas from both HiQ and other Frends partners.
There are three steps needed for an integration to work. The first is to draw out what needs there are in the business. The second is to figure out which systems are to be connected, and finally, it is about connecting the systems with a complete but, at the same time, simple integration platform. Transitioning between steps is also ensured by excellent communication.
"Frends is a very modern platform. It is drag-and-drop, low-code, and one can implement all steps within one interface, which is a very modern way of working. This improvement is also incredibly cost-effective, while there are many opportunities to realize exciting projects. We look forward to a good collaboration with Boliden in the future," says Kristoffer Lundegren, Country Manager Sweden at Frends.
Frends is a modern integration and automation platform built for the hybrid IT landscape. Frends handles everything from file transfers and APIs to complex integrations, processes, automation, management, and continuous development.
