Application Integration
Frends has excellent Application Integration capabiltities, by providing data and logic orchestration through the visual development model BPMN 2.0 and by providing application connectivity through frends tasks.
Application integration scenarios are implemented in Frends by modelling out the activity sequence to first either retrieve or recieve data from the source application utilizing frends Tasks [Frends Tasks] and then simply adding the data upadate or insertion as following activities and mapping the dataflow between activities using the frends Low-Code approach.
1. Retrieve or Recieve data
Application to application integration scenarios can be started by any combination of frends supported trigger mechanisms Frends Triggers. For example:
Recieving data in the form of files being generated by the source system.
or
Strating the integration on a schedule and retrieving the data from the source system.
2. Updating or Inserting Data
After retrieving or recieving the data, simply add in the next activity of the sequence to insert or update the data to the source system. For example:
Inserting the data to the target system by adding a next step in the sequence.
or
Inserting the data to multiple target systems, by adding multiple concurrent activities to the sequence.
3. Configuring the Data Mappings
