Uniofy partners up with Frends to strengthen digital trade union organizing. The Finnish company aims to double its customers next year and seeks strong growth in the European market.

Since 2018 Uniofy has empowered trade union members by giving them the tools to carry out activities and implement the purpose of their trade union. The company offers its customers a safe digital platform, easy application, comprehensive support services, all-around maintenance, and continuous product development.

In 2022 Uniofy wanted to replace its in-house built ETL solution with more efficient and reliable technology and partnered with Finnish Frends. The hybrid integration platform enables customers’ cloud or on-promise use and manages, visualizes, and transfers data.
“Frends helps enhance and develop the data for our customers. Especially incidents are now easy to locate and resolve. In addition, the technology ensures information security, which is extremely important in our field”, says Antti Mäki, Product Owner at Uniofy.
Uniofy manages databases consisting of as many as 200 000 people. Processing files used to be challenging and last overnight, but with Frends, the lead time was reduced to 30 minutes.
“First, we tried to process files in a loop, which resulted in similar issues we had faced before. Then, with the help of Frends’ experts, we tested different solutions and managed to ensure shorter-than-ever lead times for our massive databases. We got to experience how fluent, professional, and solution-focused the cooperation with Frends is even when challenges occur.”
With Frends as its technology partner, Uniofy is confident about establishing new markets beyond Finland and Sweden. First, Uniofy aims to expand its business in Europe, then the rest of the world.
