Helsingborgs stad står inför utmaningar relaterade till deras demografiska situation. Fler barn föds inom kommunen och invånarna lever mycket längre. Följaktligen minskar den totala andelen skattebetalare, medan efterfrågan på service är högre än någonsin.

Digitaliseringsavdelningen i Helsingborg fick i uppdrag att undersöka hur de kunde accelerera sin digitalisering och bli en datadriven stad. Bland annat behöver man utforska hur AI ("Artificiell intelligens") och automatisering skulle kunna användas. Ett viktigt steg på resan var att implementera en ny och modern integrationsplattform som gör det möjligt att dela funktioner och data i realtid mellan verksamhetskritiska system.
