The European Trotting Union (Union Europeenne du Trot) UET decided to create a platform that would allow the publishing of unified data on horse race results across its member states. UET has 18 member associations in: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Malta, Czech Republic, Estonia, Russia, and Hungary. Suomen Hippos Ry (The Finnish Association for Equestrian Sports) has played the critical role in creating the centralized data exchange process and chose Frends as the integration platform to implement the project.

"Frends iPaaS was a cost-efficient and especially the easiest solution to understand with clear architecture on API development, API management and data transfers between different parties of the project," says Jukka Niskanen, IT manager, Hippos.

Collected data will be unified into a single format and shared across different countries in almost real-time with Frends and published via the Frends API layer. The first countries to start sharing data in summer 2021 are France, Sweden, Finland, Norway. Other UET member countries will follow afterwards.
