Solving integration challenges
By adopting Frends iPaaS, Visma Solutions has redefined its integration strategy, addressing scalability, monitoring, cost, quality and scheduling challenges. Integrations, once a secondary aspect, often presented obstacles. With the implementation of Frends iPaaS in early 2024, Visma Solutions aims to enhance operations, improve customer service, and establish a new integration business.
Frends has been a significant partner in providing the platform and supporting the commercialization of integrations built with Frends iPaaS. Visma Solutions can now manage integrations internally, moving away from third-party reliance. The collaboration has also enabled the division to share valuable insights with other Visma companies using Frends iPaaS, such as Visma Aquila. According to Emma Matikainen, Business Analyst at Visma Solutions, these integrations are crucial, particularly for products like Netvisor, which require smooth connections pre-launch.
“Only a small group of customers doesn't use integrations for Netvisor. When sending invoices, you need at least an integration between Netvisor and an invoice broker, such as Maventa, to ensure information flows smoothly to the Tax Administration,” says Matikainen.
The same need for connectivity extends to Severa, the PSA software that typically requires integration with invoicing tools like Vivaldi. "Connectivity is a central aspect of our sales strategy. Frends iPaaS plays a crucial role in supporting our growth in global markets. We need to be able to build numerous integrations quickly," says Anita Matveevskaia, Integration Specialist at Severa.
For larger customers, integration needs may also encompass external reporting systems. Frends iPaaS is vital in enabling real-time data flow from all sources. During economic downturns, the demand for robust system integrations rises, underscoring the growing significance of data in decision-making processes.
Processes went from 2 days to 1.5h
During 2024, Visma Solutions has developed 40 integrations using Frends iPaaS, achieving scalable and swift integration processes. Processes and subprocesses can be replicated and customized to meet specific customer needs. In the future, they can be deployed with minimal or no manual intervention using Frends templates.
“We conducted an internal proof of concept by integrating one of our products for in-house use. The team completed it in just 1.5 hours while sitting together at the same table. As a result, we created a functional form system. Previously, without Frends iPaaS, this process could have taken up to two days,” mentions Matikainen.
The aim is to establish fully standardized deployable integrations with a single click, simplifying processes for both Visma Solutions and their customers, resulting in significant time and cost savings.
