Frends, a leader in the Nordic iPaaS market, has appointed Sampsa Lindroos as its first Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to drive expansion across the Nordics, APAC, and DACH regions. Bringing deep experience in technology sales and strategic partnerships, Sampsa joins Frends at a pivotal growth phase, contributing expertise in scaling revenue across technology-driven sectors.

Over the past year, Frends has strengthened its position as a European leader and challenger in the global iPaaS market, achieving 42% year-over-year growth and a massive increase in platform adoption in Sweden, with one in every six municipalities now using the platform to advance their digital transformation and improve citizen and public services.

Sampsa Lindroos, formerly Regional Vice President of Sales at Aiven for APAC and EMEA, brings a robust track record in enterprise sales and leadership in markets such as finance, telecom, and public services. His role is expected to enhance Frends’ reach across EMEA and APAC, expanding Frends’ capacity to support organizations with seamless digital integration.

“Sampsa’s experience makes him exceptionally well-suited to help Frends expand its presence across diverse industries globally,” says Jukka Rautio, CEO of Frends. “Sampsa’s track record, and strategic vision will be instrumental in meeting the growing demand for our platform across international markets.”

Reflecting on his new role, Sampsa commented on Frends’ momentum:

“This year, we’ve made targeted strategic and tactical moves to position Frends as a disruptive force in the iPaaS industry, meeting the global demand for faster, easier, and more transparent integration solutions. As CRO, I look forward to reinforcing this momentum, delivering meaningful, technology-driven value to our customers worldwide, and preparing for an impactful 2025.”

CRO at Frends

This strategic hire follows a series of significant developments for Frends as the company strengthens its vision for global growth. Last year, Frends completed a spin-off from HiQ, a Stockholm-based portfolio company of Triton, allowing it to focus solely on its iPaaS and integration services independently of HiQ's IT consulting business. This separation has unlocked new growth opportunities for Frends in Central Europe, APAC, and beyond.

Carrying this forward, Frends recently appointed seasoned tech industry leader Robert Pijselman as Chairman of its newly established Supervisory Board.

With clients including prominent  companies like St1 Nordics, ISS, Colliers, and Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe, Frends is positioned to advance its vision for growth globally, supporting businesses of all sizes in achieving efficient, connected digital operations.
